family

the Hitchcock family

I've known parents Elizabeth and Jeremy Hitchcock for a few years, and I met their three children when I photographed them last year. Returning to them this year meant I already knew the kids and their personalities. Better yet: they live across the street from a large park, so after some indoor portraits, we ventured out for more on a bright fall morning.

I knew the session was a success when the littlest one, Benji, invited me back to the house for hot cocoa. What else could be better?

Sarah + Jason + family

I've known Sarah since--ready?--preschool. We've always been friendly but hadn't seen each in other in probably 10 years. We found each other via facebook, and Sarah asked me to have a session with her beautiful family. They made it easy for me.

the Rocheleau family

I met the Rocheleaus when they moved to Londonderry while we were in high school. Our siblings are all friends, too, and Mrs. R has worked at Saint Anselm since I was a student (and now we're colleagues). Jess contacted me about doing a session for them while all were home during Christmas. We made a variety of portraits, but they also wanted some candids, too. I'm posting just a few here.

Liam & fam

Liam's parents, Jill and Dan, are old friends. Jill and I graduated from high school in the same year, and we occasionally traveled together to visit our future spouses, both of whom attended UNH. All of us recently reconnected, and I was very happy to make some family photos for them. Liam was fairly cooperative, although he was fed up with being bothered by the end--par for the course with a newborn.

Gail + Michael's wedding, part 1

We had the pleasure of attending Gail and Michael's wedding last month at the Danversport Yacht Club. Gail is one of Jessica's step-sisters, and we were there only as guests. (Jessica's cousin, Phillip, who photographed our wedding, was on duty again.) Of course, I couldn't not be photographing. I didn't take much, but here are some of the results.

an engagement

Congratulations to my sister Marissa and her now fiancé Daniel, who became engaged on Saturday night. The entire family (especially Cecilia, my eldest daughter, who instantly claimed her birthright as flower girl) is excited for this development. I'll be posting some photos from a session we had over the summer (we did visit them in Albany in May); in the meantime, I spent a few minutes with them today to photograph the ring:

Cahoon family

Explaining how I know this family would take too long, but suffice to say I know quite a few of them very well. They asked me to make some family photos, and we all met to photograph each family, the children, and all the cousins together. Here are some favorites.
